The Hoopa Indian Tribe needed a special micro wastewater lift station. It had to handle the demands of a multi unit living complex in Hoopa California. The challenge was that it needed to be super strong. Heavy delivery trucks constantly traverse the parking above the pump station. The trucks have to access the receiving and shipping terminal for the Hoopa Indians. They would impact and put stress on the pump station.
We recently met the challenge of providing a pump station that would hold up to the corrosive conditions of the Arctic Sea. (See post about our pump station for the Department of Defense in the northern reaches of the Alaska territory’s in the Aleutians Islands.) This was a new challenge. The Hoopa, California project also required intensive durability in unusually harsh conditions. But it forced us to solve a new set of challenges.

Micro wastewater lift stations are generally constructed of HDPE in ratings of SSR 32 and 11. In this case we needed a wet well lid and hatch that would take the constant impact loads from the trucks. This was not problem due to our extensive experience with a wide variety of sizes and configurations of wastewater lift stations. Taylor simply adapted the design and combined features of our commercial and residential sewage ejectors with our municipal designed smaller public works stations called The Muni 104 series. We created a hybrid wastewater ejector for the multi unit complexes.
We used a 42” Re-I forced concrete barrel section. The structural base serves as an anti flotation measure for the well. The top slab is as strong as the an H 20 pre cast flat man hole section and standard 24” MH Cover. A single HDPE EZZ-Klean™️ smooth cost epoxy pump pad is included. Our special design includes A Zoeller Grinder and a Simplex Controller running flow control. It is all housed in a NEMA 4X cabinet.
